Wookie Bootblack

Winning our last contest in December 2025 is Wookie Bootblack. A regular fixture in the Birmingham kink scene, Wookie (He/Him), is a bootblack who believes no leather should go unloved – or un-shined. Originally at home in the biker and skins community, he can be found at Leather events in the Midlands usually behind the stand with a brush in one hand and banter in the other, he brings a love for tradition, polish, and the occasional cheeky comment. Whether it’s a quick buff or a full restoration, Wookie’s got your boots covered – literally.

2024

In 2024, the 2nd UK Bootblack Contest was held at Sub & Cruz 101 nightclubs in Manchester as a stand-alone event, over the weekend of 29th November to 1st December. Three strong contestants made the competition fierce, each bringing their own unique skills and style to the chair. The winner was Astrid, BvtchBoots

Astrid (she/her) is a trans woman and butch leatherdyke based in London. She is currently serving as International Ms Bootblack 2026, and Bootblack Europe 2026.
